On Sunday 5th August 2018 FAB Events are proud to sponsor and organise the FAB “BATTLE OF THE SEXES” CHARITY SPORTS DAY! A day filled with sports, fun, live entertainment and lots of fund raising for a charity close to all of us at FAB, East Lancashire Hospice who provide a special way of caring for people suffering from life limiting illnesses throughout Blackburn, Darwen, Accrington and Clitheroe.
The activities and event will run across 2 different venues (follow the links below for directions)
- Norden Sports Centre, Stourton St, Rishton, Blackburn BB1 4ED
- Great Harwood Cricket Club, Cliffe Ln, Great Harwood, Blackburn BB6 7PQ
All participants will be charged a fee of £5pp to play in the sports listed (limited spaces are available). This payment will include your guaranteed entry to the evening party from 4pm
The day is open to the public to watch all activities and collection buckets will be on sites to encourage donations on entry into the 2 venues if you are able to do so.
We will be encouraging a £10 per adult and £2 per child donation into the cricket club from 4pm where the live entertainment, auction and raffle will take place.

Food and Drinks will be available to purchase throughout at the cricket club and we’ll also be featuring lots of Raffle and Auction items to help raise plenty of funds. We will also be providing our photobooth on a donation per print arrangement so you can capture some memories of the day.
Live entertainment will feature performances from the Dance Group – Talent Theatre School followed by live performances featuring Alex Birtwell, Lewis Birtwell, Paul Conner and their talented band ‘Rapped Up‘. There will also be music and disco throughout the day.
We’d like to say a massive thank you to one of our Directors, Tracy Birtwell and the girls of the FAB Events netball team for their planning of this event. Thank you to Cat Leech our representative from East Lancashire Hospice who has supported this event and also to all the suppliers that have donated their prizes, services and resources.
